Whether you're looking for a summer job, your dream school to attend after high school, or the perfect career to fit your skills and passions, CPL is here for you! We have compiled this list of resources to help you at every step of your college and career journey.



  • Campus Explorer - Search 4-year colleges, community colleges, and trade schools; also includes timelines and checklists on how to plan for college in high school.

  • College Board: Big Future - Search for schools based on your needs, preferences, and all of the factors that are important to you.

  • College Confidential - Find your best fit college, connect with other college applicants on the forums, and browse articles on how to thrive during your first year.

  • Common App - The Common Application (Common App) allows you to search for and apply to hundreds of colleges and universities. 

  • FAFSA Online - Official website where you can fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for financial aid for college or grad school.

  • FastWeb - Comprehensive database of college scholarships.

  • PHEAA - The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) offers a wide range of services, from general financial aid advice, to FAFSA and loan application assistance, to directly awarding grant money to qualifying PA residents.

  • Peterson's - Robust college prep resource with information about testing, scholarships, and searching for the right school. 

  • Princeton Review - Website with test preparation resources, school rankings & rating, and more.

  • Test Prep Review​ - Source for free online practice tests and study guides for dozens of exams, including the SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, PRAXIS, and more.

  • Tuition Tracker - Compare colleges using data that shows what schools will actually cost in the coming academic year.

  • UNIGO - College scholarship directory with over $14 billion in scholarships available.

  • Apprenticeship Programs (local) - CCAC and the Local Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JATC) offer 7 apprenticeship programs for students looking to go into a variety of trades.

  • CareerOneStop - Take an Interest Assessment to find which career fits you best based on an Interest Assessment; watch videos about different careers and the skills/education they require; and browse information on finding jobs & training, writing resumes, and more. From U.S. Dept. of Labor.


  • Idealist - Find jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities with non-profit organizations.

  • J​obCorps - A voluntary program administered by the U.S. Dept. of Labor that offers free-of-charge education and vocational training to young men and women ages 16 to 24.

  • Jobs For Teens HQ - Website dedicated to helping teens find jobsonline jobspart-time, seasonal, and more! Includes lots of informational articles for teens on labor laws, writing resumes, and helpful interview tips.

  • Occupational Outlook Handbook - Resource from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics that gives you the latest information on what jobs are in demand right now.

  • OSHA - This page from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration has videos and other information on workplace hazards and safety.

  • Snagajob Teen - Snagajob is a search engine for adult jobs, but also has a separate section for teen job-seekers.

  • VolunteerMatch - Volunteer work looks great on college applications and resumes, so you can use this tool to find the right opportunity that fits your interests and passions.  

  • YouthRules! - Know your rights as a youth worker and learn about state labor laws, wage requirements, and how to file a complaint regarding unfair or non-complaint businesses. 

  • What to Expect During a Job Interview - Outlines what you can expect from the job interview process, more or lessfrom the kinds of questions you might be asked, to the timeline for the hiring process.
