The Crafton Public Library welcomes monetary gifts to purchase library materials and also accepts donated used books and non-book materials in good condition. Our professional staff evaluates gifts using the same criteria they use for purchased materials. We appreciate you thinking of the Crafton Public Library and your generous donation!
Items we accept:
Books that are gently used with little or no damage
DVDs and CDs that are in working condition
Items we DO NOT accept:
Books that are badly damaged
Books that are moldy or dusty
Books that smell of smoke or other musty scents
VHS and cassette tapes
Medical journals, encyclopedias, old textbooks, or old computer books
We thank you for understanding and are very grateful for your support of the Crafton Public Library!
If you or your company wish to donate money, the Library suggests unrestricted gifts and will use the donation at the discretion of the Director. In the event of restricted gifts, an agreement of understanding will be filed between the donor and the Library for what purposes the gift can be used. After such agreement is made, the donor is generally not contacted and will have no further input into the disposition of the gift.
The Library reserves the right of final selection in order to meet the needs of space, building design, and utilization plus criteria of the Materials Selection Policy.
Please make all checks payable to the Crafton Public Library with attention to the Library Director or donate online!
Memorial Donations are welcome in any amount and may be made in person at the library, by mail, or electronically through the online donation link to the left.
You may suggest the subject area and one of our librarians will select material suitable for our collection. A special bookplate will be affixed to the inside cover.
If the gift is made by mail or via the online donation link, please include the name of the person the gift is made for, the name(s) of the giver(s) of the gift, and addresses of both the giver(s) and the person(s) that should receive the acknowledgement.
